Taking a little break from cleaning the window sills (I know, sounds fun right?) to share a little update. I have been a bad blogger lately...it's kind-of a reflection of life around here. Life is packed full and when I'm not in motion I completely shut down and retreat to watching Mad Men (have you seen the new episodes? I'm so addicted).
So what's going on...
-April is evaluation month at work which means I have 50 evaluations to write in addition to helping out with the Emergency Department in absence of a manager so it's busy and stressful...and we are having more and more babies each month but it is still an amazing place to work with an amazing physician team. I love it.
-We took a 8 day road trip to Denver - us and all 4 kids. I was really nervous at first but the kids were very well behaved and my iPad with movies (My Week with Marilyn and Like Crazy) got me through Nebraska. I offered to drive like 20 times and John would never let me....I think because then he would have been really bored.
-Trying to decide the future of our home...do we want to Love It or List It? It's small but man so full of that 1930's character and like new - new windows, new bathrooms, new interior doors, new kitchen...we went and looked at a 6 bedroom, 3 bathroom listing the other day - built in the 1880's!! It was BIG but man, still full of projects and no garage, unfinished basement...just wasn't right for us. So, we are going to keep working on projects around here that will make us love THIS house more - new deck, remodel front porch and front yard, landscaping...LOTs to do.
-I had my first photography lesson the first week of March and I am really noticing a difference in my photos, so I am continuing to practice. I uploading prints to Walgreens the other day and there was a note on my package that said, "professional?" - if the prints were professional then they are not supposed to print them...so that was a compliment!!
-We are working on potty training Anna - for a six year old with Autism, this is complicated! She wears an alarm that sounds anytime she is wet and then we run to the bathroom and sit on the toilet. Most of the time she just completely goes in her diaper but she seems to be doing a little better each day. I will be so happy when I don't have to change diapers anymore, it's been 9 years!!!
This is a photo I took on our trip, everything is starting to turn green which makes me so insanely happy! Happy Spring!
